I’ve been thinking a lot about American politics lately – the US elections are filling the UK papers and I spent a week this summer on the Jersey Shore watching the Democratic National Convention with my (American) girlfriend and her family.
I’m keeping everything crossed, but the possibility of a McCain-Palin win is so depressing and terrifying that I decided against doing a cartoon on that for now.
Instead, I thought I’d shelter in the safe zone of legendary politics, in a just, kind England that never really existed (much like Bartlet’s West Wing).
