Heather Brubaker

I teach Secondary English and Drama at the Chinese International School in Hong Kong. I'm a native New Yorker, and while I love my adopted home, I sometimes pine for bagels and pizza-by-the-slice. When I'm not teaching, I direct and perform in plays (mostly recently at the 2008 Adelaide Fringe Festival), enjoy standing on my head, travel around Asia, and serve on the Advisory Board of enrich, a charity that runs empowerment workshops for female migrants in Hong Kong. During the summers, I'm pursuing my Masters in Literature at the Bread Loaf School of English.
