I am a native New Orleanian who, at 30, changed life paths and went to graduate school. After becoming a Master of Urban Studies at the University of New Orleans and working for the city, I moved to NYC one year before Katrina, to pursue a PhD in cultural anthropology.
Back home, I continue the quest for doctorhood in human foibles, having chosen to focus my research on political grassroots mobilization for change since the flood. Once I have become a Doctor of Humans, my plan is to work directly on supporting and advancing such change in this beautiful city full of inspiring people. It's never too late to re-route your life!
